Sana Yadireddy said, “This is my comeback film and I am very happy to be introducing Sreesanth as an actor in South. Sreesanth is not only a good cricketer, but he is a superb dancer, actor and also an orator. I’ve seen him performing at many events and always want to work with him. When we narrated the story, he liked it very much and gave his nod immediately. The film will be in the backdrop of cricket and has a very good love story in it. Sreesanth got connected to the story well. We will make the film simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and of course Malayalam, as Sree is a Malayali. We will dub it into 14 Indian languages. The film will go on floors in July and we are planning to wrap it up in six months”.

Sreesanth said, “I thank Viren and Vandana from Josh media to be introducing me as an actor in South. This is my debut film in South and I am going to work with a big filmmaker like Sana Yadireddy. I can’t ask for more. He narrated a great subject and I can’t say no to it. It is a film in the backdrop of cricket and there is also a good love story in it. When I went to England tour after the world cup in 2011, I had an injury and was not sure how long I will continue my cricketing career. I did English plays during my school days. Moreover, many of my family members are into acting. So I chose acting career as my second innings. Nothing should stop you. Life is more important than anything else. I am also learning Telugu for the film. I love the people here and their genuine love. We will start the film by the end of July or in the first week of August. I am looking forward for a good acting career in South”.

Answering a question if he wants to play only lead roles, he says, “I am playing a negative role in Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Cabaret’. But in South, I am looking forward to play only lead roles. Because I am a South guy and people here love to watch me more as a hero than a villain”.
